Supplication when wearing a garment

All praise is for Allah who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me , with no power nor might from myself

الحمد لله الذي كساني هذا الثوب و رزقنيه من غير حول مني و لا قوة 0

Supplication said when wearing a new garment

O Allah for you is all praise , You have clothed me with it ( i.e. the garment ) , I ask You for the good of it and the good for which it was made , and I seek refuge with You from the evil of it and the evil for which it was made

اللهم لك الحمد أنت كسوتنيه ، أسألك من خيره و خير ما صنع له ، و أعوذ بك من شره و شر ما صنع له 0

Supplication said to someone wearing a new garment

May you wear it out and Allah ( The Almighty ) replace it ( with another

تُبلي و يخلف الله تعالى 0

Wear a new , live commendably and die shaheed

البس جديداً و عش حميداً و مت شهيداً 0

Before undressing

In the name of Allah

بسم الله 0

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah , alone ; without partner , and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger

أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له و أشهد أن محمداً عبده و رسوله 0

O Allah , make me of those who return to You often in repentance and make me of those who remain clean and pure

اللهم اجعلني من التوابين و اجعلني من المتطهرين 0

How perfect You are O Allah , and I praise You , I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You , I seek Your forgiveness and turn in repentance to You

سبحانك اللهم و بحمدك أشهد أن لا إله إلا أنت أستغفرك و أتوب إليك 0

O Allah , I take refuge with You lest I should stray or be led astray , or slip or be tripped , or oppress or be oppressed , or behave foolishly or be treated foolishly

اللهم إني أعوذ بك أن أَضل أو أَُضل ، أو أَزل أو أُزل ، أو أَظلم أو أُظلم ، أو أَجهل أو يُجهل علي 0

Upon entering the home

In the name of Allah we enter and in the name of Allah we leave , and upon our Lord we place our trust

O Allah , place within my heart light , and upon my tongue light , and within my ears light , and place behind me light and in front of me light and above me light and beneath me light . O Allah , bestow upon me light

اللهم اجعل في قلبي نوراً ، و في لساني نوراً ، و اجعل في سمعي نوراً ، و اجعل في بصري نوراً ، و اجعل من خلفي نوراً ، و من أمامي نوراً ، و اجعل من فوقي نوراً و من تحتي نوراً 0 اللهم أعطني نوراً 0

Upon entering the mosque

I take refuge with Allah , The Supreme and with His Noble Face , and His eternal authority from the accursed devil . In the name of Allah , and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah . O Allah , open the gates of Your mercy for me

أعوذ بالله العظيم و بوجهه الكريم و سلطانه القديم من الشيطان الرجيم ، بسم الله ، و الصلاة و السلام على رسول الله 0 اللهم افتح لي أبواب رحمتك 0

Upon leaving the mosque

In the name of Allah , and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah . O Allah , I ask You from Your favour . O Allah , guard me from the accursed devil

Supplication related to the Aadhan ( the call to the prayer)

One repeats just as the muadhin ( one who calls to prayer ) says , except when he says : Come to prayer , come to success

حيً على الصلاة ، حيً على الفلاح 0

Instead , one should say : There is no might nor power except with Allah

لا حول و لا قوة إلا بالله 0

Immediately following the declaration of faith called by the muadhin , one says : And I too bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah , alone , without partner , and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger . I am pleased with Allah as a Lord , and Muhammad as a Messenger and Islam as a religion

و أنا أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له و أن محمداً عبده و رسوله ، رضيت بالله رباً ، و بمحمدٍ رسولاً و بالإسلام ديناً 0

One should then send prayers on the Prophet ( peace be upon him ) after answering the call of the muadhen : O Allah , Owner of this perfect call and Owner of this prayer to be performed , bestow upon Muhammad a station in Paradise and a rank above the rest of creation , and send him upon a praised plarform which You have promised him . Verily , You never fail in Your promise

اللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة ، و الصلاة القائمة ، ، آت محمداً الوسيلة و الفضيلة ، و الدرجة العالية الرفيعة من الجنة ، و ابعثه مقاماً محموداً الذي وعدته 0 إنك لا تخلف الميعاد 0

One should also supplicate for himself during the time between the adhan and the iqama as supplication at such time is not rejected

O Allah , distance me from my sins just as You have distanced The East from The West , O Allah , purify me of my sins as a white robe is purified of filth , O Allah , cleanse me of my sins with snow , water and ice

اللهم باعد بيني و بين خطاياي كما باعدت بين المشرق و المغرب ، اللهم نقني من خطاياي كما ينقٌى الثوب الأبيض من الدنس ، اللهم اغسلني من خطاياي بالثلج و الماء و البَرد 0

How perfect You are O Allah , and praise You . Blessed be Your name , and lofty is Your position and none has the right to be worshipped except You

سبحانك اللهم و بحمدك و تبارك اسمك و تعالى جدٌك و لا إله غيرك 0

I have turned my face sincerely towards He who has brought forth the heavens and the Earth and I am not of those who associate ( others with Allah ) . Indeed my prayer , my sacrifice , my life and my death are for Allah , Lord of the worlds , no partner has He , with this I am commanded and I am of the Muslims . O Allah , You are the Sovereign , none has the right to be worshipped except You . You are my Lord and I am Your servant , I have wronged my own soul and I have acknowledged my sin , so forgive me all my sins for no one forgives sins except You . Guide me to the best of characters for none can guide to it other than You , and deliver me from the worst of characters for none can deliver me from it other than You . Here I am , in answer to Your call , happy to serve You . All good is within Your hands and evil does not stem from You . I exist by Your will and will return to You . Blessed and High are You , I seek Your forgiveness and repent unto You

وجهت وجهي للذي فطر السماوات و الأرض حنيفاً و ما أنا من المشركين ، إن صلاتي ، و نسكي ، و محياي ، و مماتي لله رب العالمين ، لا شريك له و بذلك أُمرت و أنا أول المسلمين 0 اللهم أنت ربي و أنا عبدك ، ظلمت نفسي و اعترفت بذنبي فاغفر لي ذنوبي جميعاً إنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت 0 و اهدني لأحسن الأخلاق لا يهدي لأحسنها إلا أنت ، و اصرف عني سيئها لا يصرف عني سيئها إلا أنت ، لبيك و سعديك ، و الخير كله بيديك ، و الشر ليس إليك 0 أنا بك و إليك 0 تباركت و تعاليت ، أستغفرك و أتوب إليك 0

You are the arbitrator between Your servants in that which they have disputed . Guide me to the truth by Your leave , in that which they have differed , for verily You guide whom You will to a straight path

اللهم رب جبرائيل ، و ميكائيل ، و إسرافيل ، فاطر السماوات و الأرض ، عالم الغيب و الشهادة 0 أنت تحكم بين عبادك فيما كانوا فيه يختلفون 0 اهدني لما اختُلف فيه من الحق بإذنك ، إنك تهدي من تشاء إلى صراط مستقيم 0

Allah is Most Great ( thrice ) , much praise is for Allah ( thrice ) , and I declare the perfection of Allah in the early morning and in the late afternoon ( thrice ) . I take refuge with Allah from the devil , from his pride , his poetry and his madness

الله اكبر كبيراً ( ثلاثاً ) و الحمد لله كثيراً ( ثلاثاً ) و سبحان الله بكرةً و أصيلاً ( ثلاثاً ) أعوذ بالله من الشيطان ، من نفخه ، و نفثه ، و همزه 0

The prophet ( peace be upon him ) would say ( as an opening supplication in prayer ) when rising from sleep to perform prayers during the night

O Allah , to You belongs all praise , You are the Light of the Heavens and the Earth and all that is within them . To You belongs all praise. You are Lord of the Heavens and the Earth and all that is within them . To You belongs all praise and the kingdom of the heavens and the Earth and all that is within them . To You belongs all praise . You are the King of the Heavens and the Earth and to You belongs all praise . You are the Truth , Your promise is true , Your Word is true , and the Day in which we will encounter You is true , the Garden of Paradise is true and the Hill ( Fire ) is true , and the Prophets are true , Muhammad ( peace be upon him ) is true and the Final Hour is true . O Allah , unto You I have submitted , and upon You I have relied , and in You I have believed , and to You I have turned in repentance , and over You I have disputed , and to You I have turned for judgment . So forgive me for what has come to pass of my sins and what will come to pass , and what I have hidden and what I have made public . You put forward and favour whom You will from amongst Your creation just as You defer and hold back whom You will in accordance to Your wisdom . None has the right to be worshipped except You , You are my Deity , none has the right to be worshipped except You

اللهم لك الحمد أنت نور السماوات و الأرض و من فيهن ، و لك الحمد أنت قيوم السماوات و الأرض و من فيهن ، و لك الحمد أنت رب السماوات و الأرض و من فيهن ، و لك الحمد لك ملك السماوات و الأرض و من فيهن ، و لك الحمد أنت ملك السماوات و الأرض و من فيهن ، و لك الحمد ، أنت الحق و وعدك حق ، و قولك حق ، و لقاؤك حق ، و الجنة حق ، و النار حق ، و النبيون حق ، و محمد صلى الله عليه و سلم حق ، و الساعة حق 0 اللهم لك أسلمت ، و عليك توكلت ، و بك آمنت ، و إليك أنبت ، و بك خاصمت ، و إليك حاكمت 0 فاغفر لي ما قدمت و ما أخرت و ما أسررت و ما أعلنت 0 أنت المقدم و أنت المؤخر 0 لا إله إلا أنت 0 أنت إلهي لا إله إلا أنت 0

The heavens and the earth and all between them abound with Your praises . O possessor of praise and majesty , the trust thing a slave has said ( of You ) and we are all Your slaves . O Allah , none can prevent what You have willed to bestow and none can bestow what You have willed to prevent , and no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone , as from You is all wealth and majesty

ملء السماوات و ملء الرض و ما بينهما و ملء ما شئت من شئ بعد 0 أهل الثناء و المجد أحق ما قال العبد و كلنا لك عبد 0 اللهم لا مانع لما أعطيت و لا معطي لما منعت و لا ينفع ذا الجد منك الجد 0

O Allah , forgive me all of my sins , the small and great of them , the first and last of them , and the seen and hidden of them

اللهم اغفر لي ذنبي كله ، دقه و جله ، و أوله و آخره ، و علانيته و سره 0

O Allah , I take refuge within Your pleasure from Your displeasure and within Your pardon from Your punishment , and I take refuge in You from You . I can not enumerate Your praise . You are as You have praised Yourself

اللهم إني أعوذ برضاك من سخطك ، و بمعافاتك من عقوبتك ، و أعوذ بك منك ، لا أحصي ثناءً عليك ، أنت كما أثنيت على نفسك 0

O Allah , send prayers upon Muhammad and upon his wives and his descendants , just as You sent prayers upon the family of Abraham , and send blessings upon Muhammad and upon his wives and his descendants , just as You sent blessings upon the family of Abraham . Verily , You are full of praise and majesty

اللهم صلي على محمد و على أزواجه و ذريته كما صليت على آل إبراهيم 0 و بارك على محمد و على أزواجه و ذريته كما باركت على آل إبراهيم 0 إنك حميد مجيد 0
