    Poetry in East & West

Poetry in Arabic is "shi3r", a word that is derived from "emotions and feelings." When we consider the word "poetry" in English we find that this word is originally Latin that means "creation." When we consider both meanings, we find that both hold together. Actually, any line of poetry that does not move our emotions does not deserve to be called poetry. A good and original line of poetry is a "creation." Thus, each cultures has its unique way of regarding poetry. What is really interesting is that both cultures complement each other in this human experience! end

        I agree with you Mr

I think Arabic poetry is better than
English , because : we have in Arabic a lot of vocabulary that we can translate it in our writing

thanks a lot , with all the best
