I had this friend who was confused
Who was disrespected, talked about, and used
She tried to start her life all over again
But something went wrong and she tried to put it to an end

I stood by her side when no one would
If I could turn back the hands of time
She wouldn't have had so many tears
And God would wipe away all of her fears

All the times she treated me bad
I'll admit I got a little mad
But I couldn't stay mad for too long
Even though in my heart I knew she was wrong

Our parents tried to keep us apart
But never will my friend, my sister leave my heart
We tried to see each other, as much as we could
But our parents wouldn't accept... they never understood

It put my friend and I in so much stress
That we were always so depressed
But one day it all came to an end
When in the hospital lay me and my friend

Our parents found out when the doctor came out at last
And said, "I'm sorry, but your daughters have passed
Everything is fine with my friend and me
Because we know that together we can now spend eternity

No more lying, crying, or heartache and pain
But nothing in our loved ones lives will ever be the same
Everything could've been straight if they had made the right choices
But they didn't, so now they will never hear our sweet voices

You may not understand what went wrong
But the friendship we had, was so strong
A friendship that could never be torn apart
She's a friend, a sister who will never leave my heart
