I guess that we all know that when we hold a compass and it's directed towards the north pole...then it's the north of earth,Right? no wrong.What might we all dont know is that the geographic earth magnet is like a magnetic bar and do u know that the north is the earth geographic south and the south is the earth geographic north?well we all know that south is attracted to north ,thus when we hold a compass the needle(north)will be attracted to the south of the earth,right?i hope this is clear becz it's somehow confusing.Anyway ,the poles of earth reverse in blabla million billion years and it was not the same during the life of Adam & Eve.and when the poles change it disasterly affects everything in earth.and u know that when the recent tsonami occured it diverted the earth magnet a little.why the poles of earth reverse?well that's a good question.to answer we must remember that the core of earth is made of iron\liquid.this fluid will create a magnetic system ,but wait a minute,the fluid flows in the core thus it will affect the poles. Still how could we know that the poles were reversed in the past million years?check this out:some rock minerals preserve the magnetic field of earth like basalt. they found in rocks that their magnitization is compatible(same)to that of earth,but in some layers it was the opposite.thus they concluded that these rocks existed in the past million years whre the earth poles were vice versa.
