Seeking A Friend ...



I want to have,
Someone dear,
But can't find,
Anyone near,
I wander through the deserts,
But only see nature,
Is there no one for me?
Then there comes,
A sound, a cry,
From where it comes?
There is no reply,
Again it’s there,
In the freshness of the air,
It knocks at my heart,
And I open the door,
Listen, it’s there,
Then I know,
I really come to know,
It’s the whisper of my soul,
Coming from very deep inside me,
It says to me quietly,
What are you looking for?
A friend. It laughed,
There is no friend,
In this selfish world,
But only and only,
Your one and only,
God!
