    the verb (prefer.

    prefer means to like better

    we have three main conditions in using the verb prefer:
    -1
    we use ( a / an + a countable noun) after PREFER which means no particular one .

    EXAMPLE:

    I prefer a pen for writing

    2-
    TO EXPRESS A SPECIFIC THING:
    we use ( prefer + the + a noun) for instance we say

    I prefer the red pen for writing

    3-
    we don't use articles ( a/an/the) after prefer with ( PLURAL AND UNCOUNTABLE nouns) for example we say

    I prefer eggs.
    I prefer tea
    I hope that it's useful
    let me know o.k.
