    A Back Ground Of The Influences Of Teh English Language, With Pictures Illustrated

    As it has been widely acknowledged, human beings tend to question almost everything. We always have the tendency to ask where things come from or how do they take the forms we see today. These questions concern time, space and different cultures. Even language became a subject worth questioning. Yes, we mostly wondered how language was formed. We only now that today the English language is a universal means of communication. Most of us have no idea about the origin of this language. Here is where I’ll row with the oar available. I have found the origin of the language so interesting and worth mentioning. The English language has been through many stages and conflicts to become the form that is viewed today. In this research paper I’m happy to give a close insight of the establishment of the English language and the different aspects that influenced the English language to take the form it shows today and the progression of the noun phrase in the three periods.

    Historically speaking, the establishment of the English language has three gradual stages. The first stage is the old English period which was from (450-1150). This period is famous for its wide inflections because there are preservations of the endings of the nouns, verbs, adjectives. The second stage was the Middle English period dated from (1150-1500). This period is famous for its levelled inflections. Inflictions started to break down at the end of the old English period. The last stage was the early modern English period which was the language since 1500. Here we can come to see that the large numbers of inflections had disappeared completely. This period can be called the period of lost inflections. Through out these three stages there have been many influences concerning the different aspects of language. We will precisely concentrate on the noun phrase in all the three periods and on the influences as well in the three periods. We will be discussing these influences in detail and a good amount of the historical background will also be presented.

          Although I'm not intrusting in History, I will try to be one of the group in the discussion.
          So I will start with the three periods of English Language.

          First. Old English, it was a pure Germanic

          Second period, a lot of French language influence. Once French Language was current those days. That's to say only the upper class could speak it. Also French language became the official language. That's why English language almost collapsed

          Then, the modern English-now day's English language- in this echo we have to talk about Arabic influence.(how lovely to talk about that..)
