Roses bossomed on my window still
Grape vines grew at the foot of the hill
Oranges, olives and figs were always seen
Flourishing every where, making the soil green
My house embraces the warm suns rise
That decorated my blessed, beautiful days
The roof bathed in the moons golen beams
And , like all my people, I had sweet dreams
My homeland had promise and open hope
Befor the invaders came with a rope
To strangle every breath of nimble life
and to plunder with vicious, angry strife
Depriving my people of air, wamth and light
While the world looked idely at my plight
